Guess what? You don't need a boat to come and learn about boating. It is a common misconception that you need a boat to take our courses or to join CPS. Many of our students are considering a boat and are looking to get some education before they take the plunge. Others have friends or family members with a boat and want to learn some safety. Arm yourself with information, just because you aren't at the wheel of your own vessel doesn't mean that you won't benefit from our courses. Many of our members don't own a boat....some are between boats, some just enjoy the social aspect of CPS. We have a lot to offer, whether or not you have a vessel, come and check us out.

Ummmm, here's the thing...it's boating season now, so we are all out on our boats for the Spring/Summer. But this is what's slated for the Fall.

Boating - September 7th - December 14th

Advanced Piloting - September 16th - December 16th

Navigating with GPS - October 6th - October 20th

VHF Radio - October - November (Dates TBA)

Electronic Charting - October 27th - November 10th

Radar - October 27th - December 1st

Register online at the CPS National site ...... or..... Download our Course Registration Form in Word format and send it in to us either by e-mail or snail mail.

If you email and don't hear back from us within day or two, give us another try. Sometimes things do randomly fly off into unexpected places in cyberspace and don't forget..we are boaters so we are usually using all our free time to get away on the water...
