Find yourself scrolling from side to side?
Norvan's web page graphic banner is 1030 pixels wide. That means that if your display resolution is set too low, you end up having to scroll from side to side which can be annoying.
To others, having a lot of blank space on a screen is equally annoying. I've tried to balance the two to come up with a size that most newer monitors can handle yet isn't so small that you'll go blind trying to read things.
So, since there are so many different screen aspect ratios out there now, I suggest putting your resolution to a number that is greater than 1040 pixels in width. The resultion height will depend on the type of monitor (aspect ratio) you have - normal, wide screen etc.
I usually keep my monitor resolution at 1400 x 1050 but by setting it back down as low as 1152 x 864 I find that it is wide enough to see everything and not have a need to scroll side to side. You may have to play a bit to find the optimal settings for your machine and you.
