Joint Norvan/Bellevue Squadrons Cruise

Joint Norvan/Bellevue Cruise - July 30 and into August..... Every summer we hook up with our Southern counterpart and enjoy fun in the sun in the Gulf Islands. The Bellevue Squadron has a great few days planned out and the details that follow come from their Cruisemaster Mike Heinrich. Members and their families are again welcome to join us on our excursion to and around the Gulf Islands, meeting up on 30 July at Maple Bay marina located in the heart of the Cowichin Bay area of Vancouver Island. Call Mike for some encouraging thoughts on including this trip in your cruising plans. Our general itinerary will look something like the following: Friday, 30 July about 5 to 5:30 PM…. Meet and Greet in the pavilion, then opt to join others for dinner at the on premises Shipyard restaurant. Saturday, 1 August…some may shuttle to town for provisioning while others may rally or… Afternoon, may offer a field trip, then a group Pot Luck dinner in the pavilion around 1800 -1830 Sunday, 2 August we may dinghy to a noon lunch then have an activity before a barbeque dinner about 1800 or 1830 (bring your own meat to grill yourself) with a side dish to share. Monday, 3 August we plan a continental breakfast with pastries, fruit and coffee. Your hosts, Kid and Mike Heinrich will request a grand sum of about $8.00 per person to cover the deserts and briquettes for Saturday and Sunday plus the Monday morning goods, with coffee planned some mornings. By Monday noon, most will depart with their chosen float plan or will team up with others for a future group destination. Reservations should be made with Mike Heinrich at mikelheinrich@aol.com. He will in turn reserve your moorage at Maple Bay Marina. Please provide your LOA, Beam, Draft, Power requirements, nights to stay. Moorage payment can be made directly to the marina at time of arrival. Mike makes the reservations but will not be collecting moorage monies. Remember the new dock designations at Maple Bay, meaning the transient dock (visitor) is labeled “H” (Hotel) and extends from shore out to the fuel dock. Questions? Contact Mike by email (see above) or call at 425-885-1127
